Child constantly looks like she’s been dragged through a hedge backwards.

I love my daughter dearly and I wouldn’t change her for the world, however I always have this issue with her that no matter what I dress her in or how I do her hair, within 10 minutes in fact before we’ve even get out of the front door she just looks like she’s been thrown together.

She is naturally beautiful (I know I would say that I’m her mother but she genuinely is). She has a love for leggings, jumpers and big trainers, which is fine (although I will admit frilly pretty dresses are more my thing for her) but she always looks so unkept and I worry people think that I don’t bother with her and only care about my own appearance which couldn’t be further from the truth. I always ensure she’s clean and tidy and well loved, no matter what I do there’s always something that makes her look like she’s been dragged through a hedge backwards and its always been the same since she was a toddler.

My daughter is a wild child and I absolutely love it, she makes potions and concoctions, she makes us food out of playdough, she cuts her barbie’s hairs and trashes my house with her dens and painting, she makes clothes for her barbie’s following youtube videos and leaves the mess everywhere. And now looking back at all the times I’ve moaned about the mess made and created I no longer give a dam. As cliché as it is I don’t care, Its not going to be messy forever and the look on her face when she’s built that den and she’s hiding in it with her teddies, its priceless. Do you know what, If I had the money to stay at home with her and have school holidays off work I would spend everyday just building dens, painting (getting it on my chairs, floors, doors) , playdough (stuck in my floor boards) making slime, potions ect. I’d do it all day everyday because one day she’s not going to want to do it anymore and I will crave for these days back once they’re gone.
