How was your Christmas all?
My brain has been in over drive once again.
So constraints………..
There are so many constraints in life, time, money, emotions, family commitments, work, school, children, the list is endless.
How do we live within these constraints and be happy with life?
Time: you hear us all say it “there’s just not enough hours in the day”. Why do we put time constraints on ourselves? After all there’s always tomorrow!
Money: how can we live within our means and be happy with what we have? There are people that don’t have a lot but are happy with what they have, and they appreciate it more.
Emotions: allowing people to have an effect on our emotions, how do we filter out the good and discard the bad?
Family commitments: family for some can be a blessing for others a curse.
Work: for some it’s just a job for others it takes over their lives. Why do we kill ourselves working our fingers to the bone to make someone else rich while we’re making ends meet?
School: for those of you with children you will all to well know the pain of school commitments, events, homework ect it feels literally never ending.
But the thing is it’s only use that puts these constraints on us, no one else.
Maybe it’s time to be happy with just being able to pay the bills and having a small amount for extras (there are plenty without that opportunity). To stop giving out deadlines or worrying about them, what will be will be stressing about it is not going to complete the task quicker. Concentrate on the good and not concern ourselves with the bad. Do our jobs to the best of our ability but seek out the enjoyment in it and to leave work at work when it’s clocking off time.
Why don’t we just be?!! Be happy! Enjoy our time with the ones we love and make that time for our own self care even if it’s just taking a long bubble bath, reading a book or painting your nails.
If we’re not happy how can the people around us be?
